Nalandabodhi New York is pleased to invite you to the third annual Nalandabodhi Tara Drupchen. This is a very special practice intensive that serves as a long-life practice for Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche and his family, for all of the members of the worldwide Nalandabodhi community, for our friends, families, loved ones, and for all sentient beings. It focuses on awakening the fearless and compassionate energy that is our mind’s true nature, as symbolized by Tara.

The practice of Drupchen is said to bring great benefit to its participants and their extended communities, as well as generating merit, purification, and blessings. In Vajrayana Buddhism, Tara is the bodhisattva who symbolizes loving-kindness and compassion, and is said to have promised to dispel the fears of all beings. Therefore, we supplicate Tara to free us of our fears, to clear away obstacles and illnesses, and to generate blessings.

Please join us as we gather simultaneously with other Tara practice events taking place at Nalandabodhi centers and study groups around the world, creating a global mandala of practice. We will join the main event being held at Nalanda West in Seattle, via webcast, for the first Tara Sadhana Practice Session at 11:30 am to 1:30 pm and for the Teaching Session at 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm. We will recite the Nalandabodhi Tara Sadhana from 3:30 pm to 5:00 pm and end with a Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche Teaching Session (join with Seattle via webcast) from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm. All sessions are open to everyone.

You can make an offering in honor of those who are ill, recently passed away, for any challenge you or others face, or for an aspiration you have for the world. These prayer requests and aspirations will be shared with everyone who is participating in the Drupchen. As an act of generosity and auspicious connection, a monetary offering is customary.

Prayer requests and offerings can be made here: bit.ly/Tara2018
Suggested Donation at the door: $20. No one will be turned away for lack of funds.
