The Seven Points of Mind Training

Video Teachings by Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche
on Lojong Practice

6 Thursday Evenings, April 4 to May 9
6:30 – 9:00 pm

Lojong or mind training practice is the heart essence of Mahayana practice. In these talks, Ponlop Rinpoche teaches The Seven Points of Mind Training brought to Tibet by the Indian master Atisha. Rinpoche’s presentation is accessible and profound and includes powerful guided meditation practice. This is perhaps one of the clearest and most detailed teaching currently available on these classic Mahayana practices. Six talks. Translation assistance provided by Tyler Dewar.

The basic notion of Lojong is that we can make friends with what we reject in ourselves and with other people. It is called “bodhicitta” or “awakened heart”. These recordings are open to everyone.

Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche is a widely celebrated Buddhist teacher and the author of Emotional RescueRebel Buddha, and other books. A lover of music, art and urban culture, Rinpoche is a poet, photographer, accomplished calligrapher and visual artist, as well as a prolific author. Rinpoche is founder and president of Nalandabodhi, an international network of Buddhist centers. He is known for his sharp intellect, humor, and easygoing teaching style.
