Weekly Lojong Sessions

Wednesdays, July 7 – September 29, 2021, 7:00 – 8:00 pm Eastern Time

We invite you to participate in weekly one-hour online Lojong Sessions. We welcome people who are interested, both experienced and new practitioners. There are no restrictions for joining in. Drop in for any session. Lojong is a mind-training practice that centers on a set of 59 slogans. The practice, which was created by Atisha (980-1052 CE), aims to help practitioners raise bodhicitta. Bodhicitta is the aspiration to awaken for the sake of all sentient beings and foster loving-kindness for ourselves and all other beings.

Each one-hour session will unfold as follows:

• Short shamatha period to settle our minds
• Recitation of the 59 slogans (text will be screen-shared)
• Focus on one of the slogans, with commentary, for contemplation and discussion
• Group discussion of the slogan
• Dedication of Merit

Please join us for these enriching sessions! Stay tuned for future Lojong Session dates after September 29th, to be announced soon.
